The Department of Economics at Universidad de Alcalá invites applications for tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Economic History, with a starting date in summer 2025.

We seek highly qualified candidates who are committed to a career in research and teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in the field of Economic History.

 We welcome applicants with a PhD in Economics, Economic History, or related fields.

We particularly value publications in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Economic History. Teaching experience in subjects related to Economic History will also be highly regarded.

Applicants must hold a PhD by April 21st, 2025. If the PhD was awarded by a non-Spanish institution, candidates must present a certificate of equivalence. Candidates should also have a sufficient level of Spanish to teach competently.
